Picking a date and setting a realistic goal can help you achieve your weight loss dreams. Write your date down and visualize it every day. Try not to put your date off, or stall in any way. This will help you to stay focused and make your goal feel real.

Having a goal outfit can help keep you motivated when you are trying to lose weight. Having a motivator that you can see and feel can give you that extra bit of encouragement when you are starting to lose hope. Try the outfit on at regular intervals, but make sure you have given yourself enough time in between fittings to actually see a difference.

You can lose weight while watching TV. Walk on a treadmill, do stretches on the floor or dance during the commercials. Short bouts of exercise can add up to the recommended 30 minutes of exercise per day.

Test yourself with a 10-pound dumbbell. Hold up a dumbbell and feel how much weight you will be eliminating from your body. You should find this enough motivation to get this out of your body as soon as possible.

If you want to lose weight, you should drink a minimum of eight eight ounce glasses of water every day. This makes sure your body stays hydrated and doesn't store excess water. If your body feels it doesn't have a good supply of water coming in, it will store water, causing you to gain weight. Drinking more water helps increase your metabolism as well so that at a rest you'll burn more calories.
